Advantages of Pressureless Sintered Silicon Carbide Ceramics for Valve Seats and Valve Plugs
Pressureless sintered silicon Carbide Ceramics (SSiC) can achieve high densification without high-pressure equipment through mature pressureless sintering technology. Featuring uniform structure and low internal stress, it is suitable for mass customization of special-shaped valve seats and valve plugs.
Compared with traditional metal, alloy and ordinary ceramic materials, it has prominent advantages: ultra-high hardness and Wear Resistance with service life 5–8 times longer than traditional metal parts; excellent resistance to strong acid and alkali corrosion, compatible with corrosive media such as chemical fluids, petrochemical media and desulfurization slurry; outstanding high-temperature resistance and thermal shock resistance, free from deformation and cracking under wide temperature range; good self-lubricating property, high sealing precision, low opening and closing torque and zero leakage; low density and small moment of inertia, reducing energy consumption and vibration noise of valve operation. It is widely used in chemical fluid control valves, power plant desulfurization valves, oil production and transmission valves, and coal chemical valve groups under severe working conditions, greatly reducing equipment maintenance frequency and full-life-cycle cost.
